What does our shave company want to accomplish?
We want to make a shave oil that makes shaving pleasant, even enjoyable. We want to make a product that delivers tangible, palpable, real benefits in all aspects of shaving: before, during and after. These include pre-shave (soften the hair), during-shave (increase razor glide), post-shave (sooth and heal the skin) and after-shave (moisturize and protect the skin).
All of these properties can and should be available in a single shaving product. But not just any product, we want our product to be made with the best all natural, non-synthetic, ingredients possible. We deliver our amazing product in a system that’s easy to use including: travelling well- convenient to use bottle that is both spill-proof & shatter-proof. No pump = no moving parts to break, jam up or fail. The container is easily and safely recycled.

What challenges face the shaving industry today?
The shaving market is owned almost entirely by single company. This company makes decisions on how most people shave and what they shave with. They are a publicly traded company beholden to stock holders, not their customers. Their best interest is to sell money making products, not products that are safe or natural.
The second problem lies in companies trying to make a name for themselves by purporting to be “all-natural” when their products are anything but. Our definition is simple: no chemicals other than the oils themselves are used in our product or the processing of our ingredients. For example, our castor oil is expeller pressed, meaning it is made the same way that it would have been made centuries ago a simple crush of the beans. Some companies use a solvent like heptane to improve the yield by withdrawing additional oil from the crushed seeds. Not doing this means oil gets left behind, increasing the cost. We use no ingredients that you can’t pronounce like (all from other shaving “software”): Triethanolamine, polysorbate-20, Benzyl Benzoate, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Stearic acid, Dimethicone We use extra-virgin olive oil just like you would find on your grocers shelf and in your own cooking.
Ultimately we would like to-
- Educate people to a better, smoother, more natural way to shave known as Almaden Shaving Oil.
- Move demand away from canned shaving gels, creams and foams to, superior, natural shave oils.
- Make the terms ‘shave gel’ and ‘after shave’ archaic
